Christmas Fun

Making cookies with Grandma for Santa, a little early, but he wanted to practice!
Joshua wanted to put Naomi to sleep, so I let him make her bottle, rock her, and sing to her. It was adorable.

Grandma White gave Naomi her birthday present a little early. She loved it, a pony book.
Grandpa White winning her over with food ofcourse, actually here it is Hot Chocolate! She will eat anytime, anywhere. It was nice to see Great Grandpa White and Grandma. They were visiting from Florida, and went home yesterday :(

Daddy taking Naomi for a ride, she loves a good thrill.

Our Favorite Things

We love Nana and Grandpop! We went to El Paso for Thanksgiving, and had a great time . Joshua and Naomi love to spend time over there, it always feels like home!
Best Birthday present ever!!! IceCream Maker, Thanks Juju

Grand Canyon Fun

Naomi was not in very many pictures as she was asleep or nestled up somewhere, here we are sitting by the fire getting warm with some hot chocolate.
Hiking with mom and dad is one of Joshua's favorite things to do. We climbed alot of trees too...

We saw deer eating outside grandma and grandpa's hotel! They ate some of "our leaves" Joshua adores any kind of animal. He could have stayed out there all night.

"Isn't it beautiful" - He kept saying that over and over.

Naomi and mommy hangning out while the guys snooze

Polar Express Video - Hit play :)

We went on the Polar Express near the Grand Canyon. It was great. Joshua had it all planned out in his head according to the movie. We met Mrs. Claus, played with trains, wrote Santa a letter, rode the Polar Express, met Santa, got a bell.....the usual :) We went with all of our cousins and grandma and grandpa. After this, we headed up to the Grand Canyon. This was spectacular....and it got us ready for the holidays early!

Our "Contracted" New House

Can it be??? PRAY FOR US! We got a call from our trusty friend and realtor Rob Call today suprising us with news on the contract of a house we were sure was not ours. The bank chose us, so now we pray and wait for closing! Grass, Grass, and more Grass. Plenty of room to adopt an army and host lots of parties. We love it. I will post pictures of the rennovations we are doing on the inside...before and after. You can all critique my decorating. Luckily, we have in house fashion design team :) Their fees are cheap, but their ideas may bankrupt us - Love you mom and Fred ;) 10062 Posada Ave - love the name, very Arizona.

Halloween

Nana and Grandpop came up for our Ward "Trunk or treat", and we got creative. Notice the green spiders made by yours truly with the help of Nana. Joshua was supposed to be Tigger, but he opted for the ever tough Football player ofcourse. Naomi was decked out in her way too expensive yet unbeatable ballerina onsie! She definitely has ballerina legs :) The next weekend, we went trick o treating with our cousins Kamree and Gabe (Uncle Ben and Aunt Sandee's kids). It was a fun time overall.

Scary House

Why Why WHY??? This whole entire process is enough to make me pull out my hair. I think that half of the reason is that I obsess over something and work it over 100 times and beat it into the ground with a million questions and reasonings for why it should or should not work out. I just want a house that's all. But, I digress. In lieu of Halloween, I will share with you things that are ooey gooey creepy to me: All things that crawl or move on the floor that have crunchy or likewise texture, Madmen destroying me and or someone near and dear to me and disrupting my serenity, any movie with any kind of real evil in it, bobcats catching me when I walk out into the desert at night, labor, and oh shall I forget, really really cold winters!
I have created my own kind of magic for Halloween, it is called a magic bag. I tried to get Josh into the Great Pumpkin thing, and he informed me that pumpkins don't walk mom - that is not real.....sooooo I had to think of something else magical and cool to bring him cool stuff for Halloween. For the past couple of days, in the morning, I sneak a piece of candy into this little trick or treat bag, and I make Josh say the magic words which are "bippity boppety boo" (only by his choice), and voila something really yummy just appears. He loves it. Sooooo, it is the magic bag getting him ready to trick or treat. Fun pictures on their way of my lil football player and ballerina (the second not by choice) :)

Marriage

I guess that it is no secret to anyone how I feel on subjects like these, but I feel it necessary in my heart to talk about this for a minute. My brother sent me an email with this attachment video of a family from Massachusetts. Please watch this video in its entirety and think on it. http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1815825713 I was deeply disturbed by the effects of same sex marriage legazliation and the effects it will have on our children in particular. I urge you to watch the clip and think on how you will vote on the upcoming election. We must hold sacred the holy union of marrage. I believe in my heart that God has ordained it for a man and a woman, and only for a man and a woman. I will fight for the rights of parenthood against any force. I reserve the right to teach my children's on moral issues. I believe in my heart that this generation of chidren is especially strong. They will be a light on a hill that is not meant to be hid. All this means is that my kids need to be that much stronger and spiritual before entering the school system. If it means going to jail just like this other father to protect the minds of his chidren, I will do it! Hopefully it will not come down to that, so VOTE YES ON 102! Zion's National Park

We went up to Salt Lake City for General Conference, and on the way up we stopped at Zion's National Park. We took E'lans sister Juliette with us for her first visit up there. We hiked to Emerald pools, played in the river, and just relaxed. Then, we went with our good friends to Olympic Park in Park City only to find to our dismay that we could not do the luge, so we went ice skating instead. It was great. Sunday morning we went to Conference in SLC, and it was great. Too bad I forgot my camera in the car! Juju has pictures on her camera phone, so I will get those and post later. I LOVE to be in the presence of the Apostles and Prophets and to be uplifted by them!

Tree Climbing Again 09/23/08

Joshua climbed a tree and said, mommy take my picture, then he gave this really cheezy smile. Then, he told me to climb and he took this picture of me! I was quite impressed by the artistry of his picture taking skills! We were biding time waiting for grandma to finish at the doctor. After this adventure, we went to sign on a new house! Hopefully we will close on Halloween.!!!

El Paso's Great Outdoors

We went to El Paso this past weekend for a getaway. Joshua got to
ride a horse, touch a snake, take a hayride, see a tarantula (no touching),
and play in the dirt. It was nice to see Lita too! Joshua and Naomi
love going to see the Fam!

Funny Stuff

Joshua and E'lan had to stop for a potty break at Burger King, and Joshua asked what kind of food they made there. E'lan told him, burgers......after he relieved himself, he inquisitively looked up and said, why don't they serve food here daddy? (he interpreted it to be boogers) I laughed really hard. Then yesterday, we found out that we are not going to get our house after some crappy real estate jerking around, and I was sad. I tried to explain to Joshua that they wanted more money (just to simplify a complicated situation), and he got quiet then said with a serious voice, "that's okay mommy". I said oh yeah, then he says, "yeah, I can make money" - how I wondered - Then he goes with big grin - "with my hammer! - I can make anything you want." Love that boy! Naomi is 9 months old this weekend.....she pants like a dog when she is excited now - more pics to follow to celebrate my angel baby!

Joshua writing his name!!!

E'lan taught Joshua to write his name, mom, and dad.....
do you think my prodigy child can read by the age of 4???

Evie Mae's blessing - September 7 2008

Naomi sitting with Grandma and Evie - she couldn't let Evie get away
with all the attention, she loves grandma WAY too much for that :)

Our Labor Day Getaway

Joshua loved watching this guy perform - He wanted to
stay and watch him instead of shop - Go Figure!

Montezuma's Castle - Josh is convinced that the Indian he saw was
the one who built this house and lives in it! We explained that it built by
ancient Native Americans, so now he believes that the Nephites
built this house on the side of the mountain - he was amazed!
We went to Sedona, and had a great time, Naomi
got to hang out with grandma and grandpa while we
lived it up in the great outdoors.

E'lan treated us to breakfast on the river...and room service!!

Getting away from the noise was great...trees, ducks, and DIRT!

Joshua was practically forced to go down Slide Rock, It

It was FREEZING, he hated it! Haha, E'lan and I

both went down, but Joshua preffered.....

MUD!!!!!! So much for the cool natural SLIDE!

Family Home Evening

Joshua listens to the scriptures so well, he loves to hear the stories of the wicked and righteous. I love that he is gaining a love for the scriptures already. He is a joy in our life! We are going to Sedona for Labor Day to get away.....Look for those pictures next week!
